I think you still need more contrast in the face! Also maybe some real dramatic darks on the hat or background. I love her little face....you are right about the innocence!

I love this and like the soft coloring as I think it adds to the general softness and innocence of the whole piece.
I've been learning that softness of heart doesn't necessarily make us vulnerable to dying--a new lesson for me. I can't think of innocence without thinking of a soft heart.
